Prof. M. Ramakrishna Reddy obtained Ph.D from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi, in 1992. Before joining Yogi Vemana University in 2006, he had a long stint as a member of faculty in KSRM College of Engineering, Kadapa. He rendered his services in S.V.University for a brief span as Associate Professor in the Dept. of Geology. Dr. Reddy is specialized in Applied Geology and pursued research on ‘Management of Water Resources in Cuddapah District, Andhra Pradesh, India’. He has guided one candidate for Ph.D and is presently supervising two Ph.D scholars. He has to his credit 25 qualitative research papers published in reputed national and international journals. In 2010, he successfully organized a national seminar on ‘Geo Dynamics and Mineral Resources of Proterozoic Basins of India' at the Yogi Vemana University. He shared his expertise in several national and international conferences besides presenting research papers. His academic caliber is coupled with rich and wide-ranging administrative experience, for earlier, he occupied some important positions in the University which include, Head, Dept. of Geo-informatics, Controller of Examinations, Dean, College Development Council, Principal, Yogi Vemana University College and Special Officer, 21st Century Gurukulam. He is known for his sincerity of purpose, diligence, time sense and shrewd organizational abilities. In the year 2011, he received the ‘Best Teacher Award’ conferred by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. He assumed the office of the Registrar on 20th June, 2012, and looks forward to serving the university devoutly.
