Achievements :
Faculty Members and Students visited the Chintakunta Rock Art Painting area on 24 August 2010. Chintakunta is in Muddanur mandal of Y.S.R.District. It is the second biggest rock art painting place in India. The Faculty Members wrote number of articles and presentedin various regional, state, national and international seminars and conferences.The Faculty has been publishing articles in regional, state,national and international books, journals and magazines.
Projects Under taken :
Documentation on Kadapa District from National Mission on Monuments and Antiquities (NMMA),New Delhi.

The Department has conducted 31st Annual Session of the South Indian History Congress during 28-30 January 2011.
