Prof. T. Vasanthi obtained her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati in 1990. She has been brilliant in her academic career and it is evident from the laurels that she won both in graduate and postgraduate courses. A celebrated teacher of Mathematics, Prof. T. Vasanthi rendered remarkable service to the student and research communities. She has actively researched in wide – ranging areas of Mathematics such as Application of Semigroups, Discrete Mathematics, Groups, Rings and Semirings. She has published high quality research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals. Dr. T. Vasanthi delivered considerable number of invited lecturers on varied areas of Mathematics. She has also participated in three international academic events held abroad and gave invited lecturers. Four candidates have successfully pursued Ph.D. under her erudite guidance and presently she is supervising three candidates for Ph.D. programme. She has guided six candidates for M.Phil. Besides her sound academic potential, Prof. T. Vasanthi has proved herself as an efficient administrator. Before taking over as the Principal of Yogi Vemana University College in October, 2011, she has held several administrative positions such as Dean, Development, Dean, School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Chairperson, BOS in Applied Mathematics, Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswavidyalayam, Tirupati. Dr. T. Vasanthi's expertise has been widely utilized by other Universities. Presently she is a member of Board of Studies in Mathematics of Dravidian and Andhra Universities. She has been the recipient of the most prestigious Andhra Pradesh State Award to Meritorious Teachers in 2010. Her rich experience both in academic and administrative arenas is a true asset for the University.
